FLIR C2 Compact Thermal Imaging System

Due to the Flir C2's compact nature, the user never has to miss an opportunity, when it comes to troubleshooting systems using thermal imaging. The Flir C2 can be used in a large range of work such as, locating problems with roofing, issues with piping behind walls, potential water damage, monitoring heating systems and checking for any irregularities in airflow. In days gone by, a large industrial thermal imaging camera would be needed to carry out all these jobs, whereas now thanks to Flir's constant innovation, the camera required fits in the engineer's pocket.

The Flir C2 has a 3" touchscreen that make navigating through settings even easier, and let the user tailor these settings to their specific job. Using the touchscreen the palettes of colour can be adjusted, this is useful if there are certain aspects of the thermal image that the user may want to stand out. The C2 has a radiometric image on it, this means that on every pixel on the thermal image, there is a temperature measurement. This gives context to what the user is looking at and allows them to easily measure spots with differing temperatures against each other. These images can then be saved instantly on the camera and if required can be transferred to an external device using a USB cable, then from there the images can be edited using Flir tools.

Flir's MSX image enhancement is an innovative feature on the C2, in short, it overlays the real image on to the thermal image displayed on the screen. The benefit of this is that it is easier to decipher the image and see where the problematic areas are as the outlines of the equipment are clearly displayed.
