Fluke ii910 Precision Acoustic Imager
The Fluke ii910 precision acoustic imager is designed to be a powerful, all in one tool, for the quick detection of both partial discharge as well as gas and vacuum leaks. Building on the already impressive Fluke ii900, the Fluke ii910 offers an increased frequency and detection ranges.
- Fluke ii900
- Frequency range: 2 kHz to 52 kHz
- Detection range: Up to 70 meters (230 feet)*
- Fluke ii910
- Frequency range: 2 kHz to 100 kHz
- Detection range: Up to 120 meters (393 feet)*
The improved frequency and detection ranges provide both additional practicality and safety benefits, as the engineer can detect more whilst being further away. It also means the device can detect PD earlier than the ii900. The Fluke ii910 can therefore be used by high voltage electricians, electrical test engineers and grid maintenance teams to scan for PD at a range of locations and devices:
- Insulators
- Transformers
- High voltage powerlines
- Switch gears
- Arrestors
- Busbars
- High voltage coils
- Breakers
- Capacitors
The Fluke ii900 is simple to use, with image and video capture at the push of a button. The large, 7 inch screen utilises Fluke’s SoundSight technology to provide clear visual indication of even the smallest leaks or potential discharge. As a result of its simplicity, training requirements are kept to minimum, no specific training is required. Simply pick up, turn on, select your frequency range and start scanning for PD or leaks. You can even have the ii910 automatically set the frequency range for you.
The Fluke ii900 provides a cost efficient, safe, effective and comfortable means to scan for PD and leaks. Frequent monitoring is much easier as the ii900 does it all with no additional tools or accessories such as headphones required. The ii900 can even pick up reflection of sounds, meaning you don’t even need to have a direct line of sight to locate an issue.
Find and fix before flash
Safety is always Fluke’s priority. Partial discharge is a serious issue that if not monitored and identified early can lead to catastrophic consequences; such as black outs, fires, explosions or death from arc flash. The Fluke ii910 makes monitoring as simple and as safe as possible thanks to the combination of specific microphone positions and sophisticated algorithms that allows the engineer to scan areas up to 120 meters away.
Reduce downtime, lower maintenance costs.
One of the main advantages of the ii910 is that is can be used to detect issues during operating hours; without the need to shut equipment down. This also provides the engineer with a ‘real time’ view of operations and removes the lengthy process of trial and error when locating an issue. Repairs can then be carried out with minimal downtime and disruption, which in turn reduces maintenance costs. General monitoring can also be carried out more frequently thanks to the ii910’s simplicity.
