Flir E75 Exx-Series Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera
The Flir E75 is made to give the highest quality thermal images, meaning the most minor of abnormalities can be spotted that could potentially develop in to a larger issue. This camera can be used across a multitude of applications, it can be used to inspect buildings for air leaks or possible moisture, evaluating piping to make sure there is no waste, as well as identifying HVAC issues and many more. The E75 is a point and shoot device with a simple button layout making it easy to navigate through the settings to get the image type the user is after in a matter of seconds or alternatively the user can use the 4" touchscreen to alter the settings.
The E75 has a 320 x 240 resolution with a true field of view of 42° and a temperature range of -20°C to 650°C, the laser distance meter within the camera helps to adjust the auto-focus to the precise area being tested. It can measure down to 30mK, this is what allows it to identify the smallest of air leakage or moisture. The colour palettes on the screen can be changed, this is useful if an engineer is wanting to emphasise a certain problem area, by changing the colour these areas may stand out more. With the Flir E75, both images and videos can be taken and stored. These images/videos can then have voice/text/illustration added to them to give context if they are being referred to at a later date.
The MSX enhancement feature gets rid of blurs within a thermal image, it places the outline of a digital image over the thermal image giving a clear indication of where the hot or cold spots are. The picture in picture mode on the camera creates a thermal window within a digital image so that the user can hone in and pin point a problem in the context of the real image. Accompanied by the image that is seen on the screen is the thermal span of the highest and coldest temperature identified, for an easy reference point.
Added to the vast amount of features on the E75, is METERLINK, this links the E75 with other Flir or Extech tools. Using Bluetooth the data captured on another Flir/Extech instrument can be transferred to the E75 and integrated in to the thermal image. By doing this, it gives the user a better overall picture of the site they are assessing and allows them to have all the necessary information in one place. The E75 also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability, with this, images can edited in the Flir Tools app and sent to colleagues off site.
