In addition, they have a CAT III 600V rating in line with IEC 61010-1, and they are available in versions that offer insulation testing at 1,000 V, which is a frequent requirement when working on industrial equipment and installations.

Despite their compact construction, which makes them particularly convenient to carry around, MIT200 testers incorporate a wide range of safety features, including live circuit protection. If an MIT200 is accidentally connected to a live circuit, an audible warning is immediately given, even if the instrument’s internal fuse has failed. The instrument’s display shows the voltage present in the live circuit, and testing is inhibited.

Automatic warning of fuse failure is also provided, which eliminates the need for time consuming manual fuse checking.
